How to: Delete all footnotes at once.
Solution:
Use the find and replace feature on the 'Edit' menu.
1) Go to the beginning of the document or section containing the check box notes.
2) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Replace...'. (The Replace dialog box appears.)
3) Make sure the 'Find What' box is blank.
4) Click 'Special'. (A menu appears above the special button.)
5) From the list box, select 'Footnote Mark'.

6) Make sure the 'Replace With' box is empty.
7) Click 'OK'.
8) Click 'Replace All'.
